Among the Tlingit, the salmon spear was an 11′ to 16′ shaft topped with a bone barbed point attached with a leather thong. Among the Inuit, the Harpoon was a tool used as a hunting weapon. Both spears are designed to lock in and strike, some detachable to an animal. The Harpoon earring is one of the first Moonture designs.
